In 2021, after 15 years of pursuit, actor and trained clown David Arquette acquired the worldwide rights to Bozo the Clown from Larry Harmon Pictures. The iconic character was created in 1946 for a series of Capitol children’s records and popularized through television shows from the late 1950s through the 1990s.

Breakin’ Comics aims to rehabilitate clowning’s image - flying in the faces of scary clown stereotypes and reminding the world of a clown’s purpose. Our goal with this comic is to revitalize the sweet, friendly Bozo with a focus on his positivity, inclusivity, and joy.
